We are expanding our service offerings into academia and are seeking an experienced GRE & SAT Math Question Creator to design original, high-quality questions covering all quantitative topics. This is a remote, contracted position for professionals with strong mathematical skills, keen attention to detail, and familiarity with GRE & SAT quantitative standards.
GRE Key Responsibilities
- Create original GRE-style math questions across all GRE quantitative topics, including:
- Arithmetic: integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, exponents, roots.
- Algebra: linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, functions, algebraic expressions.
- Geometry: lines, angles, triangles, circles, polygons, coordinate geometry, 3D geometry.
- Data Analysis: statistics (mean, median, mode, range, standard deviation), probability, combinatorics, sets.
- Word problems and real-world application scenarios.
- Quantitative Comparison and Data Interpretation sets.
- Develop accurate answer keys and clear, step-by-step explanations that explain reasoning for both correct and incorrect options.
- Ensure questions match GRE style in tone, formatting, difficulty, and cognitive rigor.
- Maintain a balanced difficulty distribution: easy, medium, and hard questions according to GRE standards.
- Revise and refine questions based on feedback from content leads to meet quality and style standards.
- Ensure conceptual clarity, logical consistency, and absence of ambiguity in every question.
- Keep track of topic coverage to guarantee full coverage of the GRE quantitative syllabus.
- Meet content production targets while adhering to deadlines.
SAT key responsibilities
- Develop original SAT-style math questions across all major content areas, including:
- Algebra: linear equations, linear systems, inequalities, functions, modeling relationships, slope/rate of change.
- Advanced Math: quadratic functions, exponential functions, polynomials, rational/ radical expressions, function analysis.
- Problem-Solving & Data Analysis: ratios, proportions, percentages, units, scatterplots, two-way tables, probability, statistical reasoning, distributions.
- Geometry & Trigonometry (limited scope): right triangle trigonometry, area/volume, angle relationships, lines and circles.
- Write accurate answer keys and clear, step-by-step explanations that emphasize SAT-style reasoning, not just calculation.
- Produce data interpretation questions using charts, tables, graphs, and real-world modeling contexts.
- Maintain balanced difficulty levels consistent with the SAT’s adaptive two-module structure.
- Ensure all content is aligned with the digital SAT format, including question phrasing, structure, and cognitive demand.
- Revise and refine questions based on feedback from content leads to meet quality and consistency standards.
- Verify that every question is original, logically sound, and free from ambiguity or unintended solution paths.
- Track content coverage to ensure representation of all SAT math domains across submitted questions.
